La
principal
línia
d’investigació
és l’anàlisi estadística de dades composicionals
(vectors amb components positives i de suma constant) seguint la
metodologia
iniciada pel professor J. Aitchison. Actualment estic treballant en la
modelització de dades composicionals amb famílies de
distribucions definides mitjançant dues metodologies. Per una
banda utilitzo la metodologia d'Aitchison i la distribució
normal asimètrica multivariant. Això ha portat a la
definició de la família normal asimètrica
logística additiva i a l'estudi de les amalgames de components amb
distribució
normal logística additiva.
Per altra banda, l'estructura d'espai vectorial euclidià del
símplex (l'espai mostral de les dades composicionals) m'ha
permès definir lleis de probabilitat sobre els coeficients de
les composicions respecte una base ortonormal (normal a SD, normal
asimétrica a SD, Dirichlet). Paral·lelament he
desenvolupat
tests de bondat d’ajust per a la distribució normal
asimètrica,
basats en els estadístics d'Anderson-Darling, de
Kolmogorov-Smirnov i de
Cràmer-von
Mises. Finalment, estic treballant en la distribució lognormal
asimètrica de l'espai real positiu i en la distribució
normal a R+ definida sobre els coeficients en una base
unitària de la recta real positiva.
